The Campaign Phases
The new Pet Helpers Adoption Center and Spay/Neuter Clinic will be a total of 14,000 sq. ft. with 12,000 sq.ft for the Shelter and Adoption Center and 2,000 square feet for the Spay/Neuter
Clinic. It will be located on 1.5 acres one-tenth of a mile from our current
shelter.
Our new facility will be built in two phases. Phase One began on March 22, 2007 with
our groundbreaking. The grand opening of the Phase One Adoption Cener will
be March 1st, 2008. The Spay/Neuter Clinic will open July 1, 2008.
Phase Two construction will begin when adequate funds have been raised.

and functions for each construction phase.
During and after Phase One and Phase Two construction, our
current shelter will
continue to be an essential facility to achieve our mission. It will operate as
quarantine and holding area for both cats and dogs. Animals will be transferred
from the existing building to the new center where they will find their forever
homes. In addition, the current facility will be used as a Dog Training Arena for
shelter animals. Our Pet Helpers adopters will also have access to the arena with
reduced prices for training. The existing building will also be used as office and
meeting space.
