Sienna Hosts First Annual “All Things Italian” Fundraiser for Pet Helpers The first annual “All Things Italian” fundraiser at Sienna Restaurant on Daniel Island raised approximately $10,000 for the new Pet Helper’s Capital Campaign and New Shelter fund. Chef Ken Vedrinski was happy to hear of the results and said, “It was a perfect night of great food, wonderful guests and raising money for the new Pet Helpers Center. We were all happy to join forces for such a great cause and the animals”.

Among some of the Silent Auction items were (1) a private party for 6 donated by Saks Fifth Avenue with private makeup consultation from the Giorgio Armani make-up artist and gift basket of Armani fragrance collection, (2) a day trip to a barrier island with Chef Vedrinski with brunch catered by the chef for 6, (3) an eye exam and pair of Gucci Sunglasses from Coastal Eye Center on Daniel Island, (4) a beautiful leather Cole Haan pocketbook donated by Rangoni of Florence and gift certificates to local restaurants and many other items.
Charleston Grill General Manager Mickey Bakst, Master of Ceremonies for the evening donated dinner for 6 at Charleston Grill in an impromptu live auction which was tied by 2 bidders and ended up giving gift certificates to both! Silent auction items totaled $7,700 for the evening!
Because of the great response, this fundraiser will be an annual event. We will move “All Things Italian” next year (location tbd) to accommodate more guests and silent auction items! Keep an eye on our events calendar for more information in 2008 and plan on becoming a little more Italian with us next year!
